You can install this Wi-Fi/DCC Trackside Interface on your layout to provide bipolar DCC encoded power to your track or layout accessories. These DCC signals will be originated from your tablet or smart phone running one of our Apps and be received via Wi-Fi. Commands will be passed on to a set of locomotives or accessories equipped with DCC decoders. Each locomotive will be addressed separately and be under independent control. The WFD-25 module may receive commands from more than one tablet, provided these are addressed to different locomotives. A roster of up to 16 locomotives or accessories can be stored in the WFD-25 so that you can select the locomotive you want to drive from our Loco Operator app.

The WFD-25 also supports a programming track so that you can read and write DCC configuration variables in DCC Service Mode. You can program operational mode configuration variables on the main track.

WFD-25 4A Wi-Fi/DCC Trackside Interface Booster

This module can be easily installed on any scale model railroad to provide Wi-Fi control of DCC Locomotives and Accessories. It is compatible with NMRA compliant decoders.

For example you might have a collection of locomotives HO or N scale that you have bought with DCC deccoders already installed or you might have installed some yourself. You can mount this module on your layout and connect its Track output to your track and/or accessory DCC controllers. You can then enter all your locomotives (up to 16) into the roster contained within the module. The WFD-25 module will behave as a DCC booster compatible with any NMRA decoder.

You can drive your trains using our Loco Operator app (Version 3+) or you can use one of our DCCIP Send modules with your existing DCC command station.

The WFD-25 provides Track and Program outputs. Connect the Track outputs to your main track and the Program output to your DCC programming track. On the programming track you can program DCC Configuration variables including the DCC Address. You can actually drive your locos on and off the programming track.
